Sant Shri Sudamaji Maharaj

On 28th June 2024, MKGM School, Kandari, had the privilege of hosting our revered spiritual leader, Sant Shri Sudamaji Maharaj, on our campus. The visit was eagerly anticipated by students, teachers, and staff alike, marking a memorable day of spiritual enrichment and inspiration.
 Guruji arrived at 8: 20 a.m. amidst a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the school community. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and reverence as students and teachers greeted Guruji with traditional offerings of flowers and garlands.
The highlight of the visit occurred on June 30, 2024, when all new students and teachers received Naamdaan from Guru Sudamaji. This sacred initiation marked a significant moment for the newcomers, symbolizing their entry into the spiritual community under Guruji's guidance. The event was deeply impactful, promoting spiritual growth and cohesion within the school community. Under the presence of Guru Sudamaji, our school hosted a two-day satsang for both juniors and seniors. The sessions were filled with enlightening discourses, devotional songs, and interactive discussions that inspired and uplifted the students. Guru Sudamaji’s teachings emphasized the importance of compassion, humility, and self-discipline. On the final day of the satsang devotees from outside also joined the satsang after which all enjoyed the langar that was served to all participants. This communal meal symbolized equality and shared humanity, reinforcing the values taught during the satsang.
Guruji’s visit was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. The spiritual guidance and wisdom imparted during his time with us will continue to resonate within our school community. We express our heartfelt gratitude to Guruji, Sant Shri Sudamaji Maharaj for his gracious presence and inspiring words, which have left an indelible mark on our hearts and minds.
The visit of Guruji has reinforced our commitment to fostering values-based education and spiritual growth at MKGM. We look forward to continuing our journey with renewed inspiration and dedication to our mission of holistic development.

Intra Class English Handwriting Competition 2024

Big pencils and even bigger smiles! The school was buzzing with excitement for the Intra Class English Handwriting Competition which was held on 06/04/24, with everyone from 1st grader to 6th grader showing off their penmanship skills.

For younger kids, it was clear they were having a blast putting their best handwriting on display.  Meanwhile, the older kids showed off their control, their letters flowing neatly and evenly across the page. It was cool to see how much everyone's handwriting improved from year to year!

The competition was a super reminder of how important good handwriting is. It's like a secret handshake - it shows one takes pride in how he/she communicates, which is a skill that will stick with them forever.

World Health Day on April 7

On the occassion of World Health Day on April 7, Shraddha Foundation in collaboration with Manav Kendra Gyan Mandir School at Kandari near Karjan organized a workshop for Senior Secondary students of the school. Ms. Trupti Desai, the Founder & President of Shraddha Foundation, an NGO based in Vadodara and working for Healthcare and Education sectors conducted this workshop. She highlighted the role of youth in Global Health and also discussed about various Global Health challenges faced by the world population especially after the Pandemic of Covid19. She also explained how Climate Change is affecting health of an individual and what are various ways to prevent Non-communicable and Infectious diseases. The highlight of this workshop was the Health Pledge taken by students at the end of the workshop. Around 150 students attended this workshop. There was a small group activitiy where students participated in the Health Quiz.

Pink Colour Day

The Colour Pink is the colour of universal love of oneself and of others. Pink is yet a soothing colour that shows care and affection. The light-hearted Colour-Pink represents friendship, harmony, inner peace and approachability with depth and stability.In order to acquaint the little buds with the concept of pink colour, Pink Day was organized for the students of  Pre-primary on Friday 13 October 2023.
Dressed in different shades of pink, the young ones looked charismatic radiating love, beauty and kindness . The classrooms were beautifully decorated with an array of pink colour objects like balloons, ribbons, soft toys etc. providing the students opportunities to have a clear sense of the colour and its importance. The tiny tots were given a thorough understanding about pink colour through fun filled activities. Thus, the purpose of pink colour day celebration was successfully fulfilled.A replica of joyous moments of  PINK DAY CELEBRATION has been garlanded hereunder for you all.

गणेश चतुर्थी

प्रत्येक कार्य को प्रारंभ करने से पूर्व लंबोदर गजानन गणपति का आवाह्न हर जगह किया जाता है। इसी परंपरा को ध्यान में रखते हुए दिनांक 19 सितंबर मंगलवार 2023 को, मानव केंद्र ज्ञान मंदिर स्कूल में गणेश चतुर्थी का त्यौहार प्रभात की प्रार्थना सभा में बड़ी धूमधाम के साथ मनाया गया। प्रार्थना सभा का प्रारंभ गणपति  बप्पा मोरया की वंदना से प्रारंभ हुआ। विद्यालय के विद्यार्थी ने ही गणपति बप्पा की वेश-भूषा धारण कर प्रार्थना सभा में उपस्थित सभी विद्यार्थियों एवं शिक्षकों को विस्मित तथा उल्लासित कर दिया। इसी दिन जैन संवत्सरी का आखिरी दिन भी था,अतः प्रधानाचार्य महोदय जी ने विद्यार्थियों को इस विषय में जानकारी देते हुए मिच्छामि दुक्कड़म का मतलब तथा महत्त्व भी समझाया और पर्वों की शुभकामनाएँ देते हुए प्रार्थना सभा का समापन किया.

Picnic- A Glimpse of the Joy

A school picnic is a memorable event in student's life.  School picnic consists of good company , pleasant weather, lovely food, fun,enjoyment - all in a single cup of "Hip Hip Hurray".

On September 9, 2023 & September 11, 2023   a delightful picnic was organised for the students of the third and fourth grade of our school at the Ajwa water Park,Baroda, Gujarat. The day was filled with exciting activities, water rides and a great bonding experience for both the students and teachers.

Arrival and welcome: We assembled at the school premises at 8:30 am. After attendance and safety instructions we boarded the buses that took us to Aaja water Park. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the park’s staff and provided with a brief orientation.

Water rides and slides: The highlight of the day was, of course, the thrilling water rides. Life guards were stationed at all water attractions to ensure the safety of our students.

Food: We had a delicious breakfast- idli sambar, lunch of full indian course and snack of samosa. 

Conclusion: The picnic to Ajwa water park was a re-sounding success. It provided our students with an opportunity to unwind, bond with classmates. Also they enjoyed food a lot. We would like to extend our gratitude to park staff for their support in making this event a memorable one. The students return to school by 5 PM, tired but with charming smiles on their faces, carrying with them wonderful memories of this enjoyable day. We look forward for more such outings to create  beautiful testimonies that will sketch a live picture in mind of our students.

ORANGE COLOUR DAY CELEBRATION

On 8th of August 2023, students from Nursery & KG looked adorned with a beautiful smile of happiness on their faces as the sky smiles with the colours of rainbow, for it was their most awaited  day, The Orange colour Day. The little  kids celebrated with zest and joy.
Orange is a dynamic colour and stimulates imagination and creativity. Our little kids were dressed in shades of orange that enriched their gait with dazzling brightness. The children learned various other things about the orange colour, which also symbolizes enthusiasm, hope, and prosperity.The children were asked to bring orange coloured objects in the class. The classrooms were beautifully decorated with orange coloured objects, ribbons, and soft toys. They brought many objects like carrot, orange, marigold, orange toy cars, and many other orange coloured things.  
The children displayed interesting activities on “Show and Tell” related to this color. The children of Nursery and Kindergarten showed the objects in the class and told the names  of the objects.The teachers taught the names of the objects to the children. Students were given a thorough understanding of the colour orange through which they learned different activities, such as how to get this secondary colour by mixing two primary colours: red and yellow. The colour represents the sound health and energy of our kids.

To inculcate the leadership qualities among the students and to give them a feel of being an important and integral part of the administrative body, the new School Prefect Council of the Academic session 2023-24 was formed, including the Head Boy and the Head Girl for both wings, the House Captains and the Vice Captains and respective class Monitors/Monitresss. 7th August 2023 was a momentous day for the Manavites which was dawned to bestow responsibilities on the deserving young talents of the school, to lead their school from the front with their commitment, confidence, and competence, to set an example of honesty, sincerity and dedication. The School held the ceremony with great enthusiasm. It was an occasion to prepare the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted to them by the school. The School Principal congratulated the newly appointed School Prefect members and motivated them to do as they say and say as the do. The occasion was a memorable one as it was honoured by the august presence of the Deputy Collector of Karjan, Shri Ashish Miyatra as the Chief Guest of the day.

Inter-House G. K. Quiz Competition

An Inter-House  G. K. a quiz competition for the juniors was organized by the school on August 4, 2023. The quiz began with the introduction of the contestants and an explanation of the rules by the quizmaster Mr. Rakesh Barman for the quiz.
The questions put forth to the teams were intriguing, exciting and made the audience go ‘aah!’ and clap when the teams answered correctly. The audience also got a chance to participate every time the teams answered incorrectly.
Every round was a mixed bag with questions from history, sports, maths, languages, vocabulary and science. The final round, the rapid-fire round, gave the teams a chance to catch up with the leaders and put-up a tough fight.
A range of emotions were felt in the meditation hall– happiness, sadness, regret and excitement. Everyone waited with bated breath for the announcement of the final scores.
Kirpal  House won the quiz competition. This quiz truly was a learning experience for both the audience and the participants.
Finally, the competition came to an end with a  speech of appreciation by Coordinator Sir for all the participants, teachers and the students.

Fancy Dress Event

MKGM recently held an exhilarating fancy dress event that brought together students from nursery to grade 3 for a day of imagination and fun. The event had no specific theme, allowing our little stars to unleash their creativity and choose any character they wished to portray.From brave freedom fighters to famous superheroes, the school's hallways transformed into a vibrant parade of qcolorful costumes and cheerful smiles. Teachers marveled at the ingenuity and effort the children put into their outfits, as they carefully crafted and accessorised their chosen characters. The excitement reached its peak as the young participants confidently walked across the stage, showcasing their unique costumes and sharing brief insights into their characters.The event provided an excellent platform for building self-confidence and public speaking skills, as each child radiated confidence and enthusiasm during their turn on stage.
The audience, consisting of esteem principal sir, coordinator sir, fellow students and teachers cheered on every performance with heartfelt encouragement, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere.
The absence of a specific theme allowed the children to explore a wide range of characters, fostering individuality and promoting diversity in their choices.
Besides being an entertaining event, the fancy dress gala also served as a bonding experience for the entire school community, reinforcing a sense of unity and camaraderie.Throughout the day, the school echoed with laughter and joy, leaving behind cherished memories that will remain etched in the hearts of both children and adults alike.As the event concluded, every participant received applause and appreciation for their outstanding efforts, instilling a sense of pride and accomplishment in their young hearts.Our school's fancy dress gala was undoubtedly a resounding success, demonstrating the power of creativity and fostering a spirit of celebration and togetherness among our nursery to grade 3 students. We eagerly anticipate more such delightful events in the future.

 

Youth Skill Day 2023-2024

Youth skill has become an integral part of the modern world without which the whole structure of the society, risks a collapse. Any useful skill of person is an interface of Science and Art and it contributes towards social development as well as creating enthusiasm in students.It provides a platform for the students to use their  knowledge and bring the best invention from their brains. It also allows students to work together in groups and learn from each other. They share their ideas and collectively galvanize those ideas to bring something innovative into implementation.
Youth skill day was organized on 27 July, 2023 in our multi-purpose Hall, at MKGM SCHOOL . The objective was not only to inculcate a scientific attitude and research- mindedness but also to enhance student’s interest in science and technology. The students showcased static and working models, which can be used for learning scientific and other related concepts, especially for students of the grades 3 to 6.
Some of the  Displays /Projects were related to :
  • Earthquake Alarm, Automated Farming, Solar energy into action, Solar system, Smart Irrigation -Sprinkler and Drip irrigation system
  • Dams, Infrastructure and technological development, Water management in need, Laser Safety, Double powered rocket, Mechanism of Human 

      •  Volcanic eruption, •  Rain water harvesting
At last but not least various  brain storming queries concluded the session in an appreciating way to all the participants.

 

Inter House English Debate Competition

On 26th July 2023, students of std. IX to XII participated in Inter House English debate competition on the theme "WAR: PROBLEM or SOLUTION?" organised with the aim to hone the public speaking skills of the students and to teach them to be articulate while expressing their thoughts and opinions, enhancing their knowledge and understanding regarding the pros and cons of war as it has been going on between Ukraine and Russia and its impact around the whole world.
The participants, two from each respective houses, represented themselves as one in Favour while the other one against the motion on the same.
They had given their best, highlighting the pros and cons of war, with their rebuttal and counter arguments, by quoting famous sayings of great personalities and referring many examples of war and peace around the world and literature. The speakers were judged on the basis of certain criteria like originality, body language, presentation skills, choice of words, etc.
Nevertheless, it was an impressive and healthy competition. The audience applauded and encouraged their respective houses and enjoyed a lot, which was reflected through their round of applause after each house performance. The school Principal sir appreciated and congratulated all the participants for their efforts and concluded by announcing the result of the Debate Competition.

Fresher's Day Celebration

Fresher's Day Celebration
6 July was filled with excitement, joy, enthusiasm and laughter as MKGM School organised an informal kind of introduction, a welcome party to the newcomers and to the new faculty members and celebrated its long awaiting and most remarkable event of the school, the Fresher's day. It's a way to get to meet new people and a gesture of friendly atmosphere for all the students. It was a bond and union where everyone celebrated being a part of this esteemed institution. It was a heartwarming moment when Principal sir appreciated children's efforts and their skills and also wished for the excellence of the students in academics with his sense of humour.

The event was highly successful with varieties of dancing, singing and comic acts and solo performances.

Fruits Day

With an objective to create awareness among children about the importance of consumption of fruits in regular diet, MKGM School celebrated " Fruits Day" on 1/ 07/2023. The youngsters of kindergarten celebrated the Day  representing the fruits of their choice through dress/chart, sang the rhymes on fruits with great zest, enthusiasm and vigour, enjoying every moment with joy and happiness  in the company of their class mates & teachers. Doctor's Day Celebration

MKGM celebrated the National Doctors' Day on 1st July, to pqy tribute and to honour the contribution of the legendary and renowned doctor - Bidhan Chandra Roy, a politician, a freedom fighter, and an advocate for education.

Doctors are the soldiers of the country, those who don't fight at borders but dedicatedly work to save lives and improve life expectancy while putting their lives at risk. Their contribution towards human health is beyond comparison. They are always the first to respond to a pandemic situation such as COVID-19, Disease X, Plague, Flu, AIDS and others to protect the general populace.
On this day, a small drama was enacted by the students in the morning assembly and proper information was provided to the students through power point presentation in the evening by Mr. Pradeep Jha. Principal Sir appreciated the efforts and paid tribute to all the doctors through his lucid, vibrant, soothing words.

Rath Yatra

Rath Yatra celebrant at MKGM 
20th June was celebrated as a special day with devotion and tradition at MKGM School on the occassion of Jagannath Rath Yatra. A special morning assembly was organised to celebrate  one of the biggest festivals of culture - the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath  who desired to visit his birthplace Mathura once every year along with his brother Lord Balbhadra and his sister Goddess Subhadra to show her Mathura on a chariot. All the rituals were shown and represented through a small act by the young kids.
Principal sir briefed the students about the importance and significance of this festival with his lucid words of scientific reasoning, combined with faith and respect.

9th International Yoga Day

Like every year, this year too, on 21st June, MKGM School celebrated International Yoga Day along with all the teaching, non teaching staff members and most importantly with the students. The theme of the 2023 Yoga day was 'Yoga for Vasudaiva Kutumbakam' and Principal sir explained about the importance of the yoga and asanas among the young students in the morning assembly, prior to which a special Yoga class was conducted for all in the early morning, guided by our Physical Trainer Mr. Rajesh Sen on the same perspective.

The Rifle Shooting

The Rifle shooting Association of Ahemdabad Rifle Club organised 8th open district shooting compition at Sports Complex, khokhra Ahemdabad from 04th to 08th may 2023.  751 Participants from Ahemdabad, Vadodara,Surat, Bhavnagar, Somenath, Amreli, Dahod, Dhandhuka, Jamnagar, Mahesana,Godhara, Porbandar district participated in different categories viz. 10m men & women, jr men & women Youth Men & women, etc.

MKGM shooters too participated in this competition and they achieved ranks and medals as follows;

PARSHURAM JAYANTI

Festivals are special days to celebrate tradition, culture, and heritage with happiness, peace and harmony. It is highly recommended to live the festive moments to the fullest as they play a significant role in our social life. These celebrations provide younger generations with knowledge about legends and indian culture and traditions.

Today, on 22nd April, 2023, MKGM School witnessed a special assembly for the special day celebrating EID, PARSHURAM JAYANTI, EARTH DAY AND AKSHAY TRITIYA. Since it was a grand celebration of many occasions, no stone was left unturned to make it a grand success. Students presented a skit depicting the selfless love for mother earth and drawing attention of everyone towards climate change, biodiversity loss and dwindling natural resources. 

Principal, Mr. Mahendrasinh Vihol applauded the efforts of the students in making the day memorable. He wished everyone on this special day with his kind words.

The welcoming day of Kindergarten

The welcoming day of kindergarten is an important event at our MKGM school as it marks the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of the young children. The celebration was an exciting and memorable event that involved a variety of activities to make the day special for everyone.
 
On this day, the classroom was decorated with balloons, streamers, and colorful posters, creating a welcoming and festive atmosphere. 
 
The children  participated in various activities, including singing and dancing performances, storytelling sessions, and interactive games, which help to create a fun and engaging learning environment. 
 
The celebration of the welcoming day of kindergarten at our MKGM school was a great way to introduce  children to the school community and establish a positive relationship with them. The celebration sets the tone for a successful and fulfilling academic year for all involved.

Observation of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre

13TH April is observed as a black day which is remembered as the jallianwala bagh massacre, a tragic event and a symbol of the atrocitics commited against the innocent Indian people as on this very day in the year 1919 a large peaceful arowd gathverd at the same place in the then united Punjab province to celebrate Baisakhi and to protest against the british colonial rule. The crowd was brutally killed by the order of the infamous notorious general O’dyer, with innumberable round of fire to that innocent crowd of men, women and children.
 
However,MKGM School observed the day with emotion,highlighting  the cruel natre of the british rule and the same massacre through a small act, enacted by our school childrenThe School Principal and whole staff appreciated the effort of the children and the staff.

Ambedkar Jayanti celebration* *and Open Drawing Competition

MKGM School celebrated the day of Ambedkar Jayanti on 14th of April on the commemoration of the birth anniversary of the Father of Indian Constitution- the renowned and wise Dr. B.R Ambedkar.
On this very day, a small play was enacted by the students, highlighting the path of making our fundamental rights and duties by the promise of our Constitution whose main creator and the drafting chairperson was the very great personality- Dr. B.R Ambedkar.
However, it was a simple and lucid presentation which made every single person to understand the importance of our Constitution and the role of the very great person behind it.
On the very same day an open drawing competition was conducted for all the students of Nursery to 12th. It was held in the respective classrooms and even outside-in the middle of nature, having different meaningful topics based on nature, education etc. in which the students, even the staff members participated joyfully and tried their best to show their latent creativity with colours. It was really an enjoyable time for all and vital effort to bring out the hidden talent among the young generation.

HANUMAN JANMOSTAV

Hanuman jyanti is celebrated on the full moon day of the Hindu lunar month of chaitra. 
Hanumanji is worshipped as a deity with the ability to gain victory over evil and provide protection.
MKGM School celebrated the day with grandear on the school campus with a special assembly on the auspicious day.

To show and spread the bravery and devotion of the auspicious soul, a small act of play was conducted where the students of MKGM represented all manjor characters of  ‘Ramayana’. It was really an impressive presentation and all the spectators appreciated and enjoyed the day which started with the magical and powerful ‘Hanuman Chalisa’

Congratulations to School Band Team!

The students of our School Band have brought glory to the school once again by bagging first position in Kala Mahakumbh 2019-20 (central zone). The cash prizes of  Rs 57,000/- have been announced recently. 19 students have been awarded Rs. 3000/- each. The school management congratulates the winners for their achievement

Vasant Panchami

Vasant Panchami is celebrated on 16.02.2021 in reverence to the Hindu deity Goddess Saraswati, epitome of learning ,  music &  art. People celebrate this day by visiting temples, flying kites, and donating to the needy. 
To celebrate this festival, the students of the MKGM School, Kandari held a Special Assembly.  Prayer, pledge, school vision & mission were followed by a divine rendition of Shlokas, celebrating the harvest season. 
The Principal of the school motivated the students to be progressive learners, setting big goals and putting dedicated efforts as a promising &  flourishing human harvest.

Kutch Tour - 2020

MKGM School in association with NEEDS (Nature Education & Environment Development School) conducted ‘Kutch Tour’ from 16.01.2020  to 19.01.2020 for the students of class V to XI. 53 students and 4 staff members were the participants. The main purpose of the tour was to get the students closer to the natural environment. 
Kutch is an erstwhile princely state of India holding onto its grandeur nature from the past. Kutch is probably one of the most beautiful, yet surreal places in India. With the vast expanses of white salt desert in the Rann of Kutch area, this was an amazing experience to witness. Students were wondered after seeing just stretches of pure white land as far as the eyesight goes. Kutch is also among the largest district of India with a terribly low population density. Beautiful beaches of Mandvi near Bhuj were also totally worth visiting for the students during the trip to Kutch. They visited museum, palaces and temples during the visit. 
Their faces with smile were witnessing the enjoyment they had during the tour.

Best out of Waste Competition

Best out of waste craft or recycled craft is an amazing way to utilize material which most of the times goes into dustbins. A habit must be generated especially amongst children as to how they can use old magazines, newspapers, plastic bottles, cans, tyres, e-waste or even broomsticks to create beautiful and some amazing crafts. In order to make children aware of the uses of the waste material, and to give them a lesson on reducing waste to save our future, A ‘Best out of Waste’ competition was organized for the students of MKGM School on 25.01.2020 Saturday. Exceptional ideas were executed by deft fingers of students. The Young Minds of junior wing participated in it showing amazing Art using Waste Materials.

Yellow day - 2020

Every colour has its own importance. Colour can influence our emotions, our actions and how we respond to various people, things, and ideas. Like Red symbolizes vitality, White purity and Green life, Yellow is for wisdom and intellectual energy.
To recapitulate and reinforce the effects of the colour yellow, MKGM School celebrated “Yellow day “on 24th January 2020, Friday. This day was dedicated to the yellow colour. The children of pre primary and the staff had dressed in different hues and tints of yellow colour. Children in general love colours and it is always a special treat when a colour day is celebrated in the school.
Throughout the day, yellow colour awareness was spread among pre primary students and for complete understanding of the same multiple recapitulations were done.

Traffic Awareness Program

The traffic rules are meant for the public for their safety and each and every citizen must follow traffic rules. 
In a bid to inculcate road safety issues and spread awareness about the traffic rules among the school students, the MKGM School in collaboration with Vadodara Traffic Police team  organized an awareness program on 28.12.2019 Saturday. 
The main aim of the program was to increase awareness about safety, road rules, regulations and road user behaviour among students and caution them against underage driving. The students also got interacted with Traffic Constables and Sub-Inspector Shri. Jaydipsinh Sarvaiya of the Vadodara traffic Police.

Christmas Celebration - 2019

MKGM School, Kandari celebrated Christmas with great fervour and enthusiasm. The School’s Assembly ground reverberated with the melody of Christmas carols on 25 December 2019 Wednesday as a Christmas Special Assembly was organized on this day.
The KG Children Park wore a festive look with bells and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. 
The students were told about the birth of Lord Jesus and the legend of Santa Claus. 
The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was amply visible on the faces of the students especially when Santa moved around distributing chocolates to them.

Health Check-up Camp - 2019

A health check-up camp was organized at MKGM School, Kandari on 15.12.2019 Sunday.. Boarder students were screened by a team of experienced & specialist doctors. Examination report of affected students will be provided to their parents.  The main aim of the camp was identifying the deceases at the early stages so it can help to cure it faster and save the students before it can cause any damage.

Inaugration of Judo classes

Judo was officially recognized by UNESCO, as one of the most comprehensive sports for children and teenagers. There are many benefits of practicing judo, as it improves your physical and mental health as well as develops self defense techniques. This Japanese martial art is much more than just a sport. It provides the necessary tools to train your body while you develop useful skills. It is our pleasure to announce that 
In order to enrich the student in the same, MKGM School inaugurated and started Judo classes as new sports on 10.12.2019 Tuesday.

Inter School Sci PO Tech exhibition 2019-20

MKGM School students participated & got III rank in Inter School ‘Sci PO Tech exhibition  2019-20’ held on 3rd December, 2019 at Podar World School, Maneja wherein students showcased static and working models on creativity and innovation on the theme- ‘Save Earth- Ban plastic & Conserve water’. 
Students were appreciated by everyone present there for their qualities of analytical thinking.

Vegetables Day 2019

Vegetables Day was celebrated in MKGM School on 29th November 2019, Friday. The students of Pre-Primary (Nursery & KG) learnt about vegetables in a unique and healthy way. A vegetable market was set up and students were invited to buy vegetables and the students talked about different vegetables. They visited real vegetables market (Karjan) too and enjoyed the learning.
Everyone knows that small children are attracted towards junk food rather than healthy food. In order to make them understand the importance of adding more vegetables in their daily meal this day was celebrating. Kids are tutored to learn the names of the vegetables and their nutrient value.

Nukkad Natak

Street plays are a dynamic way of raising awareness on different issues that plague our society. Those taking part in these plays carry a huge responsibility of spreading their message to audiences.  And, students of junior wing were very successful in having their message heard. Today the nukkad natak was performed by junior wing students in morning assembly and the students brilliantly displayed their talents, resulting in a sincere connection with the audience. One of the objectives of it was to spread awareness about Fire Safety Awareness – prevention and what to do in a fire. The safest method of dealing with fires is to take steps to prevent them and Malaria prevention and awareness program.

Inter House Drama Competition - 2019

Teaching English through drama provides a context for listening and meaningful language production. It allows students to develop their language resources and enhances their linguistic abilities. In addition, it provides authentic situations for reading and writing.
In order to develop dramatic skills and speaking ability among students, MKGM School organised Inter house drama competition on 10.09.2019. 
The aim of the competition is to enhance the English language among the students with the help of drama was thoroughly achieved as the performers got a chance to unfold their latent talents.

Teachers Day - 2019

MKGM School celebrated Teachers Day on 05.09.2019 with great fun and enthusiasm. A special assembly was organized. It began with the thought and talk highlighting the contribution of teachers in student’s life. Students also presented rose bud, gift and their amazing artwork prepared for this special occasion as their token of love for the teachers. The day came to an end with the scrumptious meals hosted by the school.

Swachchhta drive -2019

The students of MKGM School conducted a Swachchhta drive at Kalika Mata Temple-Pavagarh hills in Panchmahal district with much fervor on 01.09.2019. Here are a few pictures showcasing how school students with Principal and teachers organised clean-up drives to raise awareness about health and hygiene.  They took the initiative of making people aware about waste, waste segregation and its importance.
They performed as waste warriors with their brooms and gloves. They not only cleaned the area but also collected the non-biodegradable waste littered on hill.

National Sports Day - 2019

The word which gives excitement and encouragement in children, relaxation and relief to youngsters, medals and reputation for players and finally glory and respect to country is sports. 
MKGM School celebrated National Sports Day on 29th August 2019 by organizing various games/events like Yoga session, School Band, Badminton, Table Tennis, Basketball, Mallkhambh, Tug of War, Kho- Kho, Lawn Tennis etc followed by planting trees and saplings in premises of BRC Karjan.
On this occasion, Students watched the addressing and launching of ‘Fit India Movement’ by honorable Prime Minister and the oath of F.I.M. was taken by them.
MKGM School appeals to all parents, students, teachers and well-wishers to   support this movement to achieve its goals.

Green Day - 2019

Today, is the day of green color and our little manavites celebrated green day on Friday 23.08.2019.
The teachers and children came dressed in green coloured clothes and brought green coloured objects. The entire class was decorated with green colour objects. Children played with green balls and rings.

Reconstitution of The Prefects - 2019

The School Prefectorial system helps the students to develop leadership qualities. It also instills into them a sense of responsibility as they set an example for others in discipline, academics, sports & extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. 
Like every year, MKGM School reconstituted the prefects and assigned responsibilities and duties to them on 08.08.2019 Thursday.

National School Games 2019-20

Young and talented shuttlers from MKGM SCHOOL was in action at GSFC Sports Complex, Vadodara on 31.07.2019. 
They participated in National School Games 2019-20 under the aegis of School Games Federation of India at GSFC Sports Complex. 
It is the second time that our student Ms. Nandini R Patel secured 1st position back to back in under 19 girl’s category.
In the category of under-19 boys MKGM school student Master Shiv Patel secured 1st position. Master Harsh D. Upadhyay got 3rd position in same category.

Inter - House Science Quiz Competition - 2019

An Inter - House Science Quiz Competition was organized by MKGM School.
MKGM School encourages positive competition and hopes to bring out the best in all its students through such competitive events, while ensuring that the children learn through all possible ways- not just through books and class-room teaching.

Picnic At Kamati Baug - 2019

MKGM School organized one day picnic at Kamati Baug, Vadodara today on 19.07.2019 Friday.
The school picnic was for the students of Jr.KG and Sr. KG.
Kamati Baug – (The largest garden in entire Western India and is extended over the vast area of 45 hectares) gave an experience of being surrounded by greenery and the beauty of nature. The students were extremely excited and kept singing songs in the bus till they reached the venue.
The children clearly enjoyed their day to the fullest and created beautiful memories to be cherished by them for a long time to come. The laughter and joy that was witnessed amongst the children was something beyond words.

Guru Purnima - 2019

MKGM School celebrated the auspicious day of Guru Purnima with great reverence and devotion. This day is celebrated on the full moon day (Purnima) of Asadha month of the Hindu calendar in all parts of the world.
A special assembly was conducted, marked by the floral tribute by teachers and students to Guru’s in ritualistic respect of guru puja. The program started with the shloka “Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwar”. The Students presented prayer and guru bhajans.

Awareness Program On Basic Life Support

MKGM School in collaboration with NDRF Team and Taluka administration organized community awareness program on basic life support, first aid, search and rescue, evacuation, fire safety etc. 
Briefing about the appropriate action to be taken during any kind of emergency during the disaster situation, Inspector (NDRF) and team taught to the students how they can quickly react to any kind of disaster before reaching of NDRF team.

Red Day Celebration - 2019

Colours are indeed the smiles of nature…..
Red colour symbolizes enthusiasm, life and vitality. MKGM school celebrated Red Day on 28th June 2019. The day started with a vibrant display of red colour all around the school. Children could be seen in different shades of red dresses, red fruits, red balloons….. red flowers…. here a red there a red …. Everywhere red-red.
Our little ones spent a spectacular fun filled day. Teachers discussed the red theme making the celebration a wonderful learning experience.

5th International Yoga Day

The 5th International Yoga Day was celebrated today on 21 June 2019, Friday at MKGM School, Kandari with great enthusiasm and vigour. 
Almost 300 participants took part in the event. 
Principal, teachers, non teaching staff and their family members also participated with the students in the event.

The Yoga session started exactly at 06:30 am with Prayer, and systematic practice of different ‘ASANAS” of standing, sitting and laying positions (both lying on back and reverse) smoothly changing in succession under the instructions of Yoga teacher and supervision of trained Volunteers. During the course of “Yogabhyas”, the Yoga teacher also narrated the usefulness of different “Asanas” as a precautionary measure, in curing many Diseases and the usefulness of Yoga in the overall wellbeing of a human being.  

The entire “YOGABHYAS” lasted for an hour and ended at 07:30 am with a “Sanskrit Shloka” and Oath by all the participants that they will continue to practice Yoga for keeping their Body and mind in healthy, stress-free and cheerful condition.

Ram navmi Celebration - 2019

Students of MKGM School celebrated Ram navmi with great vigor and enthusiasm on 13th April 2019. The event comprised of a graceful performance by the MKGM Students dressed in vibrant ensembles signifying the joviality which comes with the festival of the birth of Lord Ram. 
Next in order was picturesque skit which stressed on the need for imbibing the values of obedience and respect in today’s youth and to follow the footsteps of Lord Rama.

Educational tour of Vikram Sarabhai Space Exhibition (VSSE) and Gujarat Science City

An Educational tour was organized by the MKGM School for the students of Class X and XII In order to enhance their practical stimulation and to let them have an overview of the technological advancements in the field of space research and Science World at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Exhibition (VSSE) and Gujarat Science City at Ahmedabad on 06.04.2019, Saturday.
They enjoyed the roller coaster rides in the flight simulator, watching the visually stunning 3-D shows, Laser show and a special show, 'The Wonders of the Universe', in the dome-shaped theatre. 
A visit to a Hall of Space, Planet Earth, Energy Education Park, Life Science Park, Hall of Science, Mars ride, etc was very exciting for students and really help them understand basic science. It was just a complete, mesmerizing, knowledgeous, enjoying the trip.

To celebrate this festival, the students of the MKGM School held a Special Assembly followed by a divine rendition of Shlokas, celebrating the harvest season of the Hindu festival. The spring of joy took over when a prayer ceremony worshipping Goddess Saraswati was led by offerings of spring flowers by all the students & staff members of the school.
The Principal of the school motivated the students to be progressive learners, setting big goals and putting dedicated efforts as a promising & flourishing human harvest.

Visit of Karjan Police Station and Karjan Taluka Panchayat

Students of V and VI  visited  Karjan Police Station and Karjan Taluka Panchayat today. The underlying motive of the visit was to build faith in the Police System of the state and local governance in Panchayati Raj. It is an integral part of the society which fulfills the responsibility of providing Security and Help to the masses.
Students were welcomed by the team of Karjan Police Station and Panchayat bhavan staff. Team of Sub Inspectors briefed the students about their Working, Hierarchy, Ethos and number of Police Stations located in Vadodara distirict. Students saluted the hard work, blood and sweat put in by all the policemen in making the world sleep peacefully. Overall it was an extremely beneficial session for the students to understand the concept of Swaraj through Panchayati Raj system.

70th Republic Day

The 70th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at MKGM  School  on 26th January 2019.  The students saluted the National Flag  and pledged themselves to upholding the honour and integrity, diversity and uniqueness that is “ India”.
The choir group presented the patriotic song “ Ae Watan Jane Man” . 
The International students  fraternity of Purva School of Bharatnatayam, Vadodara mesmerized the audience with their folk dance performances on this occasion.
 
Students also participated in Vadodara District Republic Day celebration at Ajod, where first position was given to underprivileged Students from Jarod and MKGM won second position for Mallakhamb and Band Display. Minsiter of Agriclutre Shri. Jaydrathsinh Parmar honored them with Medals and certificates.

30th Annual Day of MKGM

MKGM school celebrated it's 30 Annual Day on 12.01.19. The Chief guest Mr.  Bhargav Bhatt,  Guest of Honor Mr.  Atul. Bedade and Ms. Hema KC and Special Guest Mr.  Satishbhai graced d ocassion with their presence.

The students performed spectacular performances in all the events such as Rope mallakhamb,  mallakhamb,  Horse Riding,  etc.  

All in all,  the function was a grand success.

Today, We at MKGM School celebrated Christmas in all its joy and happiness. Christmas brings cheer and love and we celebrated it with the same fervour, spreading the message of love and joy among our students. The essence of Christmas came alive when the students and teachers got together and shared the merriment - The delightful celebrations included various activities.

Inter House Book Review Competition

Reading is one of the most fundamental skills a child needs to learn and develop to succeed in life. To develop the habit of reading among the students, MKGM School organized ‘Inter House Book Review Competition’ on 22.12.2018 Saturday.  Students from each house in each category participated in the competition.

Medical Health Camp Dec- 2018

A medical health camp was organized in MKGM School by  Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), a comprehensive school health care programme on 17.12.2018 Monday.
The Centrally-sponsored programme is a initiative aimed at early identification and intervention for children from birth to 18 years of age to cover four ‘Ds’ – Defects at birth, Deficiencies, Diseases and Development delays, including disability.
The school students of Class Nursery to XII were screened for eye problems, nutritional deficiencies, scabies and other minor ailments by Doctor’s team.

Wanakbori Thermal Power Plant Visit

Students of class XII had privilege of visiting Wanakbori Thermal Power Plant, on 12 December, 2018 situated at Wanakbori, Dist- Kheda (Gujarat). The trip was organized by Geography department to actually see science in action involving the principles of physics, chemistry & Geography to generate thermal electricity.  Students visited the coal quarry, boilers and conveyers along with trainers of the plant explaining each and every step for generation of Power.

Swachchh Vidyalaya Puruskar

MKGM School won State level award of ‘Swachchh Vidyalaya’ 2017.  The ‘Swachchh Vidyalaya Puruskar’ is awarded to recognize and encourage excellence in sanitation and hygiene practices in Schools.  
Education Minister Vibhavriben Dave and Education Secretary Dr. Vinod Rao presented the awards, comprising a citation and cheque of Rs. 30,000 to MKGM School at a function held on 6 December 2018, Thursday in Gandhinagar.
Project Director, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan- Mrs. P. Bharti informed that 31000 Schools from the state had registered for Swachchh Vidyalaya Puruskar this year.  They shortlisted  49 Schools for ‘Swachchh Vidyalaya Puruskar-2017’ for the state level. 
Our School was awarded as Swachchh Vidyalaya 2017 at District level (Rural).

Gyan Sarovar Sahodaya 4th Annual Athletics Meet of Gujarat CBSE Schools

On 1st December 2018, Gyan Sarovar Sahodaya 4th Annual Athletics Meet of Gujarat CBSE Schools was organized at Baselios School, Refinery Stadium, Gorwa ,Vadodara.
Mr. Sudhir Kumar- Executive Director of Gujarat Refinery & Mrs. P. Kelkar- Chairperson of Sahodaya Complex, Vadodara inaugurated the meet. Our two Students Master Indrapal  Pagi won Bronze medal in 200 meters and Master  Rudrapratapsinh Dodia won Gold medal in 400 meters, he was also awarded with the Best Athlete of the Meet 2018.

It was indeed a special evening for all of us –the management, staff and students of MKGMS, as we could draw unparalleled enthusiasm in us as we witnessed the evening of Friday, 30th November, 2018 where guests and well wishers Mr. Deepak Halwai, Honorary  General Secretary of Vadodara District Rifle Association and Honorary Joint Secretary of Gujarat state Rifle Association, Mr. Mr. Jayesh Bhalawala- Senior Coach- Vadodara, Mr. Conor Williams Former Indian Cricketer, Shri. Vipulbhai Patel Sarpanch shri.  Kandari gram Panchayat,  Shri. Maheshbhai Patel Principal Kandari High School joined us for a ribbon-cutting ceremony inaugurating a newly constructed Rifle shooting range
In his speech, Mr. Deepak  emphasized  and appreciated the importance of  school infrastructure ideal for promotion of all games and he wished the school all the best in the years ahead.

Visit of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekanand Memorial

Students of class VIII visited Ramakrishna Mission Vivekanand Memorial Vadodara on 23rd October. They were accompanied by Principal Sir and the objective of the educational trip was to understand Swami Vivekanand's ideals and his tour of India for teaching the lessons of Vedanta and philosophy. During his visit to Vadodara he stayed in this Ashram for three days. Our students also did meditation and expeienced the vibration.

Yoga and meditation when practiced together strengthen the connection of mind and body, improving overall fitness and well-being. Yoga expert Mr. Haresh Kaira discussed and demonstrated some ways and dimensions of different types of Pranayama and systematic practice of different “ASANAS” of standing, sitting and laying positions at MKGM School on 04.10.18 to all students and staff. He  reckoned many benefits of practicing yoga and pointed out that yoga is the scientific way of living healthy and increasing life expectancy.

2nd October Celebration

MKGM students celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Shri Lal Bahadur Shashtri's birth anniversary and went to Ganapatpura village and cleaned the streets and educated the villagers regarding importance of  cleanliness.

Career Guidance program in Indian Air-force

Our School recently organized a Career Guidance program in Indian Air-force for students of classes 8 to 12.
During the session the Indian Air force officers educated the students about carrier as Air-force officer & its recruitment process in various branches.
They also briefed them about making appropriate decision & answered all questions of the students.

Gujarat Khel Mahakumbh 2018

As a part of Gujarat Khel Mahakumbh 2018 Karjan Taluka level Chess and yogasans events were organised at Manav Kendra Gyan Mandir School kandari on 19th September. Where students of different schools and citizens participated.

CBSE Cluster XIII Kabaddi Tournament

Our school was entrusted to host CBSE Cluster XIII Kabaddi Tournament. 31 CBSE schools from Gujarat participated in it. 
PP Savani School Ankleshwar stood champion in under 19 Boys category.
Gujarat Public School Vadodara stood champion in under 17 Boys category
Delhi Public School Harni Vadodara stood champion in under 17 Girls category
Seth CN Vidyala Ahemdabad Girls stood champion in Under 19 Girls category. 
Whereas MKGM Under 19 Girls stood 2nd Runners up in this tournament.

Independence day

MKGM SCHOOL celebrated our 72nd Independence Day and remembered with gratitude the sacrifice of our freedom fighters.
The celebrations began at MKGM Sports Groud with the unfurling of the National flag and a speech with patriotic zeal and fervor by Shri Nitinbhai Patel- The Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat.
The Deputy Chief Minister awarded a certificate to our principal for MKGM's excellent performance in Clean Indian Mission.
MKGM School Band, Mallkhambh & Yoga Students were also awarded First & Second positions for their performance.
The programme concluded with the National Song evoking the feeling of patriotism among all present.

Subrto cup under 17 was conducted in MKGM School Kandari.

MKGM School has been assigned to host Karjan Taluka and  Vadodara district inter-school games competitions by District Sports Authority. MKGM organized Kabbadi, Kho kho, volleyball and athletic events. District Education Office staff and District Sports Office staff visited the school and blessed the winners.

Master Gopesh Pandey of MKGM school won first position in Ek Patriya Abhinay

It was time for students of Gujarat to demonstrate their talents and skills in Kala Mahakumbh by setting aside their books and home work. Really, Kala Mahakumbh provides perfect platform for these budding artists. Master Gopesh Pandey of MKGM school won first position in Ek Patriya Abhinay at Vadodara district level and now he will participate at regional level.

Trip to Water Park Borsad

MKGM School firmly believes that all work and no fun makes a student's life dull. In order to ensure that the students of the primary section have their share of fun, a trip to Enjoy Waterpark Borsad Anand was arranged on 17th July. 
The energetic and enthusiastic students were excited and geared up for their fun trip. As soon as they reached the water park they changed into their swimming attire and dived into the water. There were various water rides which the students thoroughly enjoyed. They played in the water and had an awesome time.

According to the dictionary, a Talent or Art is a natural endowment of a person. It is an ability or natural capacity that we have, which may range from our creativity to our athletic abilities. We all have them, but we are not always so good at identifying what they are. Sometimes they can be right in front of us, and we miss them.
In order to find out the hidden talent from youth, Gujarat Government has planned KALA MAHAKUMBH 2018 as a part of it MKGM School kandari hosted Sugam Sangeet, Garba, Lok Nrutya, Lagan geet at Karjan Taluka level

Inter House G.K Quiz competition June 2018

MkGM School organised an Inter House G.K Quiz competition on 22nd June 2018 in which all the four houses with four participants in each house gave tough battle to each other. It was very informative and knowledge enriching competition for the participants and audience too.

Fresher's Day 2018

To give the newcomers an opportunity to introduce themselves and exhibit their hidden talents we organized Fresher's Day on 6th July 2018. All the fresher's including newly appointed staff members gave their best performance including the musical orchestra.

Maths Workshop

On an average 30% of students find Maths as tough subject in schooling. To remove this phobia of numbers MKGM School Kandari organised one day workshop under the canopy of Gyan Sarovar Sahodaya, where 116 teachers from all over Gujarat participated. With innovative and non conventional techniques the resource persons made the workshop a greater learning.

Earth Day Celebration

Earth Day was celebrated in our school as the theme of 2018's Earth Day celebration was plastics — specifically how to decrease their unwanted impacts on our environment. A PowerPoint presentation was shown to students of highlighting the importance of this day.

Health Check Up

Healthy mind lives in a healthy body”

A health check-up camp was organized by the School on 22nd April 2018 for all the boarder students of KG to Class XII.  Its main purpose was to maintain good health in students. A health record was maintained for each student. After a medical checkup, a descriptive report for an individual student was provided. This helps parents in understanding the health of their ward. 

Fancy Dress Competition

 Fancy Dress competition was held on 21st April 2018.The tiny tots were dressed up by their parents and teachers as characters from different walks of life. There were doctors, nurses, teachers, farmers, cartoon characters and a variety of things and objects like the tree, water drop, signal light and a lot more. Many of them spoke on their characters and gained confidence, important for their growth.

The parents were happy to take the pain in getting their wards on the stage and were happy to watch them perform.

The teachers guided them and the audience encouraged as they walked on to the stage in their cute little costumes.

Parshuram Jayanti Celebration

Parshuram Jayanti was celebrated on 18th April 2018 as the birth anniversary of Lord Parshuram. Parshuram is believed to be born on this day. It is believed that Tretayug began on the day of Vaishakh Shukla Paksha Tritiya. It is also known as Akshaya Tritiya (a time of good omen). Students recited bhajans and speech was delivered on his life during the assembly.

Special Coaching Camp

MKGM Cricket Academy is conducting a specialised coaching camp for under 16 boys participating from Diu-Daman and Saurashtra to fine tune their cricketing skills under expert eyes.

Hanuman Jayanti Celebration

Hanuman Jayanti was celebrated in Manav Kendra Gyan Mandir School on 31.03.2018. Everyone Enjoyed and taken blessings of lord Hanuman.

MKGM CRICKET ACADEMY- ONE YEAR COMPLETED

It's one year when MKGM Cricket Academy was launched on 01.04.17. The academy has been a tremendous success. Many young cricketers learnt cricketing skills from Renowned Indian player Shri Connor Williams and his team of expert coaches.

Farewell 2018

The students, staff and management of MKGM School, Kandari bid farewell to the outgoing students of class 12. The farewell was organized on 11th February, 2018. A prayer song, followed by their thought provoking speeches, recollecting the memories and the time spent by them in the school and bidding farewell to them with a heavy heart, but with a hope that they fair well in life left everyone teary-eyed.

The farewell party was celebrated with fervor at School campus. It was an occasion for the outgoing students to look back at the time that they spent in the lawns of Campus and the professional education that they acquired during the period.

As a token of love Class XI students presented special gift to the outgoing students. Mr. Simon George Ex Principal of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Nani Naroli was the guest on the occasion.  

 

 

 

With just few days left for the class 10 and class 12 board examination 2018 to begin, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi conducted an interactive session where he conducted an interactive session, "Pariksha Par Charcha", also being dubbed as "Exam Ki Baat" with thousands of students at Delhi's Talkatora Stadium on Friday. Our School students from standards 7th onwards gathered in Meditation hall for this live telecast, and eagerly watched the programme.

The principal explained to the students how the right approach in combination with the right coping strategies can help them overcome anxiety and perform well in their exams.

 

69th Republic Day

Manav Kendra Gyan Mandir School situated at Karjan taluka near kandari, also celebrated 69th Republic Day in which the chief guest was Mr. Julian who hosted the flag in the presence of teachers and all official committee members.

Annual Function 2018

Manav Kendra Gyan Mandir School, celebrated its 29th Annual Day – 2018 titled “Emerging India ”  at Ravindra Kala Niketan on 12th January, 2018. Prof. Ajay Ashtaputre Dean of Faculty of Performing Arts, M. S University was the Chief Guest for the event.  The students enthralled the parents with their performances. The meritorious students were felicitated by the school.

The programme was an amalgamation of various hues befitting the theme wondrously.  The evening commenced with a scintillating invocation Dance-Ganesh vandana. Theme based dances both Western and Folk dances captivated the guests. The props and costumes added colour to the festive occasion with the synchronized dance movement to the foot tapping music.  The most riveting performance which drew an unceasing applause was the “ Surgical Strike”. . An astounding visual treat enthralled every spectator present. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest which contended it was a spectacular show put up by the children. He stated that the students have smartly carved a niche for themselves. He added that students should not only be imparted excellent education but also be given platform where their hidden talents come out  and they develop the interest in all such co curricula activities.

Industrial Visit

Our Commerce Students visited a company [VIVIDH HI FAB] at Vadodara on 23.12.2017. The motto of the trip was to get knowledge of marketing management and principles of management.

Farm Visit at Avakhal

Class V & VI Students visited a farm at Avakhal on 23/12/2017, Saturday. They learnt how food is grown and how animals are raised. It was an Ideal way for children to understand and connect with where their food comes from and by learning farm works, children experienced the natural world in new ways and experienced vital connection between the social, ecological and economic importance of agricultural in their lives.

Christmas Celebration 2017

Christmas is a time to give and forgive. MKGM School, Kandari, celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ in a grand manner on 25th December, 2017, Monday. A special assembly was held in the pre-primary premises where Little Santa made a grand entry and gave adorable poses for pictures and distributed sweets.
Kindergarten students had a dance with Santa Claus, followed by a dance by students from Class I to VII. Miss Kasish Jaiswal of Class XI Science spoke about the purpose of birth of Jesus Christ and the presence of Santa Claus in Christmas celebration.
A group of students sang Christmas carols, Mr. G. V Sharma presided over the celebration.

Inter house book review competition was organized by Manav Kendra Gyan Mandir School from 18th - 21st December 2017.

TABLE MANNERS

The good manners we learn in our childhood stay with us our whole lives and can have an effect on our future relationships at home, work and in public life.

Teaching our children good table manners is a valuable skill which will benefit them throughout their lives. Whether they are dining out in a restaurant or at their home, we teach them the basic table manners, so that they can enjoy dining with others as they mature. Mrs. Rupa Sharma, Retd  Ex Principal Bright Day School, Vadodara visited our school on 11th December, 2017 and delivered a lesson on Table Manners and etiquettes.

MEDICAL CHECK-UP CAMP

Twice a year we organize  medical check up for the entire school. On 17th December, 2017 a health check up camp was organized , where all the students and teachers were thoroughly examined by the team of experienced doctors Dr. Jyotindra Dave M.S and Professor in Sumandeep University, Dr. Bhavin Shah Implantologist,  Dr. Rimpy Sharma BDS.An awareness talk on oral hygiene with some video presentations was delivered by Dr. Bhavin Shah. Necessary medical advice and precautionary measures were given to the students.

Book Exhibition

There are many good reasons to host a book fair at your schoolBook fairs give children a motivation to read by offering them a wide selection of books to choose from that they can look at before they decide to buy.  On 16th December 2017 we organised a Book exhibition in our school.

School band

With a target to reach 100% voting the Vadodara District Collector and Election Officer P. Bharathi organized Votethon (Run for Vote) awareness programme on 10th December, 2017 in Vadodara. Our school band also participated and entertained the participants.

Quiz competition

Gujarat Public School, Chhani, Vadodara hosted Inter School Commerce Quiz on 9th December, 2017. Over 27 schools of Vadodara  participated in the competition. They discussed current issues like GST, black money, making rural India global, demonetisation, digitisation, etc.

4 students from our School: Master Nachiket Aroda, Master SanskarTripathi, Master Rajdeep Raulji and Miss. Kashish Jaiswal participated in the event.

The competition was a great learning experience for the students and gave them new insights into some recent developments in the Indian economy like demonetisation, the Make in India project etc by showcasing diverse perspectives in an innovative way.

The competition was a memorable one and the students look forward to attending more like these.

Fire safety

A Fire safety awareness programme was organized by National Fire Academy in the school premises on 8th December, 2017. A team of NFA including Mr. R.G Sharma Vice Principal gave detailed information on fire safety, various types of fire and how to use fire extinguishers as well as why it is important to install at every place within school premises. They demonstrated the methods of putting out the fire using different techniques.  All the staff members and students of the school attended this informative session.

Fancy Dress Competition

The MKGM School witnessed the Fancy Dress Competition for Nursery, LKG, UKG, Classes I to VI on April 22, 2017.  It was the most awaited event, as it is always a pleasure to watch the toddlers dressed up as different characters and stuttering away in their speech. This year we have been many wonderful and graceful creative costumes.Bhagat

The students came forward displaying their vibrant costumes.  The few to list out are Rani Laxmibai, Water, Teacher, doctor, Hanuman,  Chota Bheem, Bharatmata, Fairies, Graceful Peacock, Confident Inspector, Krishna, Shiva, Ganesha, farmer and many more.  The competition brought an amiable ambience and the judges retorted with their applause.  It was indeed a mesmerizing event which would be etched in our memory for a very long time.

Inter House Rangoli Competition for Junior Wing -2010-2011

On 05th August'2010, Inter House Rangoli Competition was conducted for Classes III– VI..Freshers came out with creative designs & innovative ideas,as it was a first experience for them.The Programme was appreciated by all. The Judges were: Mr Kamlesh Hazra Mr C M. Sharma, Mr Rakesh Barman, Mrs Mukta Dwivedi & Mrs Kanchan Roy.

Teachers Day Celebration

In order to mark respect towards teaching legendary Hero and role model character Dr. Radhakrishana, a colourful ceremony was organized in the school. The students posed teachers presented a rose bud to their teachers as a token of love and regard. All the students were enthusiastic to greet to their teachers from the very beginning of the schedule. All the teachers were given the relaxation from their busy resident staff duty and students themself owned the responsibility. The students were looking very cute in teachers get up. They taught the classes and maintained the discipline. In the morning assembly Mr. V.P. Sharma Vice Chairman, Mr. G.V. Sharma Adviser to Management & Principal Dr. Sanjeev Mainra acknowledged the sentiments of students and encouraged them in their speeches to be dynamic and simple in their life like Dr. Radhakrishnan. After festive lunch, a musical evening with a variety programme was held. A swimming championship was also conducted between teachers and students. All boarders and teaching staff greatly enjoyed the day.

Gandhi Jayanti in M.K.G.M

On eve of the birth anniversary of Mahatama Gandhi & Lal Bahadhur Shashtri, a devotional and a great paying tribute assembly was conducted in M.K.G.M Kandari. The programme started with Deepprajvlan and prayer "Raghu Patti Raghav _ _ _ _'' The life portrait of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was highlighted by students through speeches, plays, group song and bhajans. Dr. Sanjeev Mainra Principal laid the tributes by words "Besides Gandhiji leadership qualities are worth emulating if you want to be the successful and make the difference in your own as well as other people's lives by Gandhigiri." Inspired students took an pledge to follow the truthful path in different walks of life. The school management wished and congratulated to all Manaverians for this festival.

Dancing Buds in M.K.G.M Navratri Garba

Traditional folk dance 'Garba" became the instrument for charging the boarders of M.K.G.M Kandari. It became more vital after completion of their examination and last day in school for Diwali break. The school administration made all requirable arrangement for this dance in a broad campus. By the evening time the Zenith reached on earth with the beats of music and flashing lights. All teachers accompanied their kids in the dance. Garba became more proud privilege for the kids of M.K.G.M after getting the prize winning achievement in International Folk Dance Competition at Shimla. The dancing buds appears to be confident and professional in their movement in Garba. It was an ultimate successful get together in school. Vice – Chairman Mr. V.P. Sharma shared his movement with M.K.G.M family. The programme concluded with the arti of Ambe Maa.

Christmas

On 25th December evening, Christmas was celebrated in M.K.G.M campus. Start from the morning, each one cheerfully greeted every one "Merry Christmas!" School administration too did not lack behind in the celebration, who organized special candle light musical concert dinner. To mark more auspicious Christmas dinner, special ice – cream cups were distributed, which the students really enjoyed. After dinner, it was the time of get - together for cultural programme celebration. It was a pleasant surprise when so many young children posed as Shanta Claus entered on stage with the beats of music "Jingle bell – Jingle bell." They really entertained every one. They distributed the sweets and made the smile on each faces. Miss. Ankita K. Roy a student of VIIth Std told everyone about the importance of "Christmas". The Programme concluded after presentation of different Christmas songs and dances.

M. K.G.M Triumpth at Shimla

M.K.G.M Jubilient girls with Mr. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister Himachal Pradesh

Eagerness, happiness, curiosity, jubilation and excitement prevailed in Manav Kendra Gyan Mandir School Kandari when the news of result cracked in campus about the committed success of 12 girls who performed Gujarat traditional folk dance "Garba" in 14TH INTERNATIONAL WOMEN FOLK DANCE COMPETITION GAITY THEATRE IN SHIMLA. Before departure these participants and team manager very confidently expressed satisfaction for the preparation while talked to media correspondents. The students stayed at Shimla from 28th September 2010 to 03rd October 2010. They performed different performances upon stage, upon road and in procession. They had an group song presentation also on concluding day. Total 87 teams of different schools & colleges from India and abroad participated. M.K.G.M girls determinded about Gujarat Heritage greatly bloomed in Shimla. Their great effort and sincerity became fruitful when chief minister of Himachal Pradesh Mr. Prem Kumar Dhumal invited them to receive the third place trophy. In jubilation all M.K.G.M participants rushed to the stage to make it a life time memory. All government ministers, bureaucrats congratulated to them for the success. It was a unforgettable movement for them. They felt high esteem gems in a big sky. They kissed the stage and thanked to all mighty God for the great day.

In Manav Kendra campus on 05th Oct 2010, there was a busy session in the morning to welcome these students who reached by Paschim express. Teachers, students and management wished and congratulated them for this thumping success. The gold medal won by them, shined eyes, proud body language, self explained the triumpth of the students. In the morning assembly, each student was presented with "buka" and garland by Principal Dr. Sanjeev Mainra , followed by medal ceremony by Vice – Chairman.

The Vice – Chairman Mr. V.P. Sharma expressed great satisfaction of the achievements and blessed to every participant. He told that its not only proud for Manav Kendra Gyan Mandir School but whole of the Gujarat state.

Report On The Socio Economic Survey

On October17th & 18th an educative short tour to the city of Baroda was planned made with a vision to carry out the socio-economic survey on the under privilledged people living in socially and politically segregated area. This purpose was put up to take on the slum area of Mali Mahalo situated near Vishwamitri river, Munjmahuda, Baroda. Geography students of Std – XII com & Sci prepared questionaries relevantly linking the concerned subject. There were two days spent and students cultivated the time not to value their work under the tutelage of Mr Tapan Kumar Jena (Geography teacher, Senior wing) The experience students have learnt from it is strongly believed that it would help them in future.

Industrial Visit to Toothbrush Company

This industrial visit's objective was to know about the enterprise, about their organising and co – ordination among the different departures.

On 17th July 2010 students of 12th Commerce had visited Jewel toothbrush company, Baroda. The main purpose to visit the company was to see their functions of management, escorted by Mr. Shankar G. Prabhu. This company consists of 4 plants i.e. different manufacturing departments, the most important thing we noted that there was a perfect co – ordination among.

workers manufacturing different qualities of toothbrush and different parts of brushes. This company exporting their toothbrushes to the countries like Germany, U.S.A and U.A.E.

Report on CBSE Group Mathematics Olympiad

A Group of 5 students ( 3 from XII Sci and 2 from XI Sci) Participated in CBSE Group mathematics Olympiad held in Navarachna Higher Secondary School Vadodara on 5th Dec, 2010. These students were escorted by our PGT Math Mr C B. Garg. Mathematics Olympiad in a major event conducted by CBSE. Every year our students are participating in this events under the guidance of our maths teacher Mr C B. Garg. Before departuring from the school Mr C B. Garg had given them some tips to solve the questions quickly and correctly.
